Meet the team

Hello, I am Toya Davis, Founder and CEO of Something  for Us-Advocates for Single Middle Class Parents.  My background includes, Information Technology, Health Information Technology, IT Training and Support, Human Resources, Business Management, Life Coaching and Ministry.  I am an Entrepreneur.  I am a single parent of two beautiful adult children.  The financial, mental and emotional challenges that I faced as a single parent is what led me to found Something For Us in 2005 after my divorce.  While  I am a college graduate,  have held some high level positions with top hospitals and major corporations and have made a decent amount of money, this was not enough.  You see, My children and I were living on one income.  This meant that out of that one income,  the mortgage had to be paid, I had to put food on the table, clothes on our backs, shoes on our feet, pay insurance, pay car payments, pay for childcare, pay for school lunches, pay medical co-pays, and utility bills; the list goes on.  I was required to pay  these expenses in full.  The issue was that  I did not qualify for assistance from any government entities because according to the Poverty guidelines, my income was too high.  Sure, I received Child Support but it was not the same as having more than one income  and being able to properly provide for my children on a regular basis.  I faced some challenges, some struggles and some downfalls and did experience lack from time to time.  Fortunately,  I am blessed to have a family and a few wonderful  friends that love my children  and I.  That was my support system.   Everyone is not as fortunate as I was and at the time, there were no programs in place for this special class of people whom I call "The Forgotten Population."  This is why I founded Something For Us.  I am proud to say  that SFU has helped a few people over the years through various fundraising activities.  As the CEO, I will focus on all external affairs of the board, partnerships, public relations, business ventures and will make major corporate decisions .  I will ensure  that SFU achieves its mission.

Hello, I'm Stephanie Lee, COO of Something for Us-Advocates for Single Middle Class Parents.  My background includes Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Life Coaching, Holistic Medicine, and Spiritual Awareness.  I am an Author, and an Entrepreneur.  I am the Owner/Operator of Dharma Healing and Wellness.   "Family First" has always been my motto.  I have a strong desire for helping others overcome obstacles, challenges, fears, weaknesses and anything  that can negatively impact  their lives and their success.  I understand the struggles a single parent is faced with.  I will focus on the Internal affairs of SFU ensuring that everything we do supports our mission and purpose.  I will oversee all internal functions of our board. 

 Hello, I’m Wayne Woods Jr, CFO of Something for Us-Advocates for Single Middle Class Parents. I’m a single father of two handsome young men. My background includes Youth Education and Empowerment, Multimedia, and Information Technology (IT). Entrepreneurship and our youth has always been a passion for me. I am a proud Owner of Memories Alive Multimedia LLC, a full multimedia company & MAM IT, an IT service and consulting company. I am also the Founder and C.E.O. of F.L.Y HIGH “Forever Leading Youth Higher” Non-Profit Organization. I have a relentless desire to build up communities and provide better opportunities to the under privileged. It is an honor to operate as Chief Financial Officer for SFU. My focus will be ensuring that SFU is in the best financial position to successfully operate and provide for those in need of assistance. I will help SFU make sound financial decisions and maintain the financial records. Again it is an honor and a privilege to continue my passion of developing the organization and community. 

Hi, I'm Tony Prewitt, CIO of Something for Us-Advocates for Single Middle Class Parents.  My background includes Technology, Design, E-Commerce, Communications and Optometry.  I am an Entrepreneur.   I am the owner/Operator of M.O.P.E.B.O. Technology Services.   My children are my #1 priority.  My  focus will be to utilize the latest technology to ensure that SFU maintains a successful online presence, generates revenue through the use of E-commerce, and utilize Media and E-Marketing Strategies to enable SFU to assist these parents in every way possible.   I will make major business decisions as they relate to Information Technology. 

Hello, My name is Ericka Dowdley and I am the Director of Social Services for Something for Us-Advocates for Single Middle Class Parents.  I too am a single parent of two beautiful adult children.  My background includes Medical and Human Services.  I have always  had a desire to help people in any way I can.  My focus will be to ensure  that our statistical data on this class of people is current and kept up to date.  I  will also be making sure that our qualified applicants are approved to receive assistance.    I  will make certain that our approval criteria is within reasonable limits.  I will make sure that everyone that needs help receives it.

Greetings, I am Tai Thomas and I am the Director of Volunteer & Community Services for Something for Us-Advocates for Single Middle Class Parents.  I am a single mother of two beautiful young children who are the most important people in my life.  My background includes Library Sciences, Working with youth and Catering.  I have always  been the type of person to offer assistance to people who are less fortunate.  I will be recruiting and overseeing our Volunteer Staff , coordinating all of our Community Servics and fundraising activities.  In addition, I will be keeping the general public updated on  any Community Services opportunities that are available within the organization.

Greeting! I am Felicia Milton and I'm the Director of Administrative Services for Something For Us-Advocates for Single Middle Class Parents.  Family is my #1 priority.  My background includes Medical, Administrative, Insurance as well as Health Information Technology.  Community Service and Helping Others has always been a passion of mine's.  My focus will be to ensure that all of SFU's official and legal documentation and certifications arekept  current.  I will foster communication and will keep the team advised on all organizational matters.  I will manage all correspondence coming in and going out, as well as internally.  I will collaborate with each board member to ensure that all functions carried out by this organization is done in accordance with federal and state laws.

As you can clearly see, SFU is made up of an extraordinary group of unique, talented, successful and business oriented individuals that possess the drive, passion and desire to help others that are less  fortunate.  Each one of these individuals have a specific skill set and the knowledge to take SFU to new heights.  SFU will empower, advocate and support the single middle class parent on financial, spiritual and social emotional  levels. This will enable parents to provide for their children properly when life hits them hard, giving them a sense of relief.  They will know that they are not alone; for we know their struggles.  In fact some of us have lived them.  We will focus on abundance, prosperity, success and hope.
